Feed Discoverer, another tool by RadarFarms is online!
February 23, 2008 at 2:47 pm | In Farm News | 1 CommentTags: news aggergation, rss, search
Feed Discoverer, another innovative tool by RadarFarms, is a RSS feed meta-search engine. In order to retrieve most relevant feeds, it is using MSN/Live.com API. Because the feeds are created in different formats, the tool categorizes all the returned feeds under four different categories:
- Feedburner Feeds
- Feeds
- RSS Files
- XML Files
All you need to do is specify a keyword or key phrase, which represents your Radars’ subject, generate and preview the feeds, select those which you need, and then publish your Radar.
There are several advanced features – privacy, inclusion and exclusion filters.
The feeds can be also added to existing Radars created through Radar Wizard and/or Radar Admin tools.
The whole process will take no longer than several minutes.
Attention Advertisers! We launched 77Radars – “Long Tail” Advertising Service
January 31, 2008 at 12:23 pm | In Farm News | No CommentsTags: advertising, long tail
The numbers are staggering. Most pay-per-click advertising is aimed at 1-2 word search queries. Yet, over 80% of web traffic comes from highly-specific, “long tail” (3 words or more) search queries. Meaning, your competition is paying fiercely for the attention of less than 20% of web users.
Our Radars, on the other hand, attract massive amounts of long tail traffic. Advertising on 77Radars gets you the attention of very valuable web users. Learn more…
77Radars are News Radars we give special love and attention to, because we think they’re particularly important topics. Choose a radar you like in the cloud and become its Sponsor.

RadarFarms successfully tested a first set of its Widgets with Tag Clouds
September 14, 2007 at 8:41 pm | In Farm News | No CommentsTags: news radars, tag clouds, widgets
RadarFarms added Tag Clouds to its Widgets and successfully tested them at our another site ITDynamo.com. The Tag Clouds were implemented for JobExposer, Soft Skills for Techies, Resume Mastering and Interview Prep for Techies Radar Widgets.
The Radar Widgets, implemented in July 2007 through our Radar Wizard self-service, are for free, however, the Tag Cloud add-in is for a small one-time fee and will be produced upon you request. If you are interested in producing and hosting the widgets, please contact us at: mailto:info@radarfarms.com.
Tag Cloud is a weighted list of content tags/keywords for a specific radar. They bring a lot of value to the widgets by boosting Search Engine Ranking for a site hosting the widget, adding search capabilities and giving a cool Web 2.0-like look to the host site.

RadarFarms releases a first set of Blidgets!
May 21, 2007 at 2:33 am | In Farm News | No CommentsTags: widgets, blidgets, widgetbox
RadarFarms releases a first set of Blidgets! The idea behind blidgets (a short for bl[og w]idgets) is to enable promotion of a blog on web sites, other blogs and social networking destinations like MySpace. A blidget is basically a wrapper around an RSS feed. The blidgets are enabled by Widgetbox - an online marketplace that connects widget developers and widget consumers. The RadarFarms blidgets will provide their subscribers to the ability to embed and display the bits of our content (Radars) anywhere and everywhere. At this moment, our site features 13 blodgets:
- Farms Voice is incorporating our news, blog postings and research articles. The blidget is at home and group pages (e.g., Web 2.0 Radars, Showcase Radars or Private Radars pages) – see screenshot below:
You can embed any of those blidgets into My Space, Facebook and other popular social networking, blogging or personalized sites or just plug into any 3rd part site by clicking “Get Widget“:
We will keep adding Blidgets to most of our radars. If you want to create Radar and/or get your Blidget contact us at: support@radarfarms.com.
In the meantime, we have already a first subscription for our Banned Commercials blidget at: http://rucku.elgg.org/keny/profile/.
